What is Narrowband Internet of
Things (NB-IoT)

Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) is a LPWAN(Low Power Wide Area Network) radio technology standard developed by 3GPP to enable communication for a wide range of cellular devices and services, the specifications of which were frozen in 3GPP Release 13 (LTE Advanced Pro), in June 2016.
More IoT 3GPP technologies include eMTC(enhanced Machine-Type Communication) and EC-GSM-IoT.

NB-IoT uses a subset of the LTE standard >, with a bandwidth of 200 kHz and uses OFDM modulation for data download and SC-FDMA for data sending.

The MiDoMet NBIoT  are universal devices for data collection with broad functionality, equipped with NBIoT modem for remote data transfer by open protocol MQTT.


The MiDoMet NBIoT are robust and reliable devices thanks to the IP68 protection rating and can therefore be installed in any environment.

MiDoMet NBIoT PulseONE is a datalogger specialized in monitoring meters equipped with pulse emitters.

MiDoMeT NB-IoT Pulse is a specialized datalogger for monitoring inputs from digital meters or sensors.

Through the 4 digital inputs it can be used to remotely control the readings of meters equipped with pulse emitters for billing purposes, or for the control and monitoring of the water network.

MiDoMeT NB-IoT Pressure is a specialized datalogger for monitoring network pressure (or level).

Through the 2 digital inputs it can be used to remotely read the meters equipped with pulse emitters. The analog input can be used to collect data from 4-20mA, 0-5V sensors, such as analog temperature, humidity, pressure, level, quality sensors.​

MiDoMeT NB-IoT Special is a specialized datalogger for monitoring analog inputs such as: network pressure, level.

Through the 4 digital inputs it can be used to remotely read the meters equipped with pulse emitters. The 2 analog inputs can be used to collect data from 4-20mA, 0-5V sensors, such as temperature, humidity, pressure, level, quality sensors.​

The bit rate on the cell board is in the order of 1 Kbps, with the possibility of reaching up to 250 Kbps in areas with good coverage.

Easy Deployment: Unlike LTE-M1, NB-IoT does not require a gateway to provide connectivity functionality.
