INTRODUCTION:
The request received concerned the need to insert some remote monitoring systems for flow rates, pressures, and control of the solenoid valves of a tank, serving a water distribution network.

TO THE PURPOSE:

- To allow the analysis and verification of volumes;
- To promptly identify losses, anomalous consumption at night, in volumes, in periods;< br>- Develop the overall water balance by processing the volumes passed through entry and exit at the monitored points;
- Identify the flow rates, pressures and levels;
- Provide software for the management and visualization of the monitored points, multi-access , multi-user.

SUMMARY OF WORKS:
The nodes being monitored are:

1)

Pressure and flow rate monitoring
3 flow rates, 3 pressures.

2)

Monitoring levels in tank tanks and management of pump activation/deactivation.

TANK INLET:
N.2 tanks with
n.1 inlet solenoid valve that controls the loading pump,
n.1 outlet solenoid valve that controls the drain/water inlet pump towards the aqueduct network.

The intervention required is the insertion and monitoring of 3 levels with solenoid valve opening/closing management according to the sequence:

LOW LEVEL
Outlet solenoid valve closed and loading solenoid valve open.

MEDIUM HIGH LEVEL
Inlet solenoid valve closed, outlet solenoid valve open.

HIGH LEVEL
Warning level, dry contact to detect when filling has been reached.

The outputs of the two tanks connect in the same line on which there is a meter which must be equipped with a pulse emitter to monitor the output flow rate and possibly insert a closing control in case of excessive flow rate.

All Two level monitors must be inserted inside the two tanks for remote sending of information.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE TANK SOLUTION:

THE PROPOSED CONTROL HAS THE FOLLOWING OPERATION:
A 0-5V level transmitter controls the level in the tank.

The level sensor is introduced into the tank via a cable and left "plumb" on the bottom.
Depending on the pressure of the water column above, it is able to calculate the level present in the tank.

The choice allows for fast and economical installation, as it does not require the prior creation of supports for installation. The signal will be input to an electronic level meter/controller.

3 guard levels will be set on the meter/regulator:
-Low,
-medium/High,
-alarm,
according to which the output relays will be activated for switching the pumps on and off.

A Contactor will be connected to the Meter/Regulator output to power/de-power the solenoid valves.

The levels detected in the tanks and the alarm signal (Tank full) are also monitored by

MiDoMet Special (PROD_COD.: MD.SPE.3.1.4.2_8),

which deals with the collection and remote control of remote data via GPS network.

The system will be completed by an electrical panel which will house, in addition to the equipment listed above, also a thermomagnetic switch and a 220VAC-24VDC voltage regulator.


SAMPLING OF DATA:
Data sampling occurs, by default, every hour, for a total of 24 readings per day. The reading is historicized within a 1 Mbit DataFlash memory (approximately 15,000 readings). Every 24 hours, in the case of ordinary operation and without the occurrence of alarm situations, the data is sent to the management system via an integrated GPRS modem to allow analysis and verification. (SaaS) SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE:
The software customized to the customer's needs has as its first objective :

- Accept the data coming from the plants using MiDoMet monitoring devices;
- Accept the data coming from further installations on future plants where a MiDoMet is foreseen without requiring further investments in software development (Scalability);
- Provide a simple tool for managing monitored points and viewing monitored values;
- Allow remote configuration of control units.
